Master of Arts in Filmmaking: Specialising in Editing
The master’s degree was structured around film theory and the making of short films. The collaborative course provided me with a breadth of fiction filmmaking knowledge whilst I also developed creatively and intellectually in the craft of film editing.

Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Computing with Video Production - 2:1 Honours
The Bachelor’s degree programme gave me an insight into different career paths such as filmmaking, TV production, graphic design, 3D animation and programming. My final year project was both practice and research-based, exploring the subject of Autostereoscopy – an attempt to allow human eyes to retrieve 3D imagery from a 2D screen without the glasses.



EMPLOYMENT

Jun 2010 – Current: Spectrecom Films | www.spectrecom.co.uk | London, UK
Working to tight deadlines with various clients and directors to offline and online edit several high-end promos and corporate videos. The role involves digitising, logging, editing, sound design, grading and creating/applying graphics to meet the clients' requirements and expectations.

Sep 2007 – Current: British Sky Broadcasting | www.sky.com | London, UK
I started working at Sky as a runner for Sports Interactive, and after a year I was promoted to Production Junior at Sky Sports News. I work in a busy newsroom with producers, presenters, sub-editors and reporters to research, create and edit highlights, breaking news and sports stories from a variety of live sports events to tight deadlines for live news broadcasting. I coordinate with all the departments such as ingest, graphics, the gallery and transmission to ensure the smooth running of the channel. I also take care of important studio guests, such as Premier League Managers and boxing world champions. My experience at Sky has taught me impeccable time management skills, the ability to be creative under pressure, multitasking and excellent client-facing skills.

Feb 2008: Dubai TV | www.dubaitv.ae | London, UK
I was a production junior on the set of the TV drama series “Love in Hyde Park”, which was broadcasted on Dubai TV in September 2008. My responsibilities included overseeing the equipment and assisting the art department with any issues that may arise on set.

Jun 2006 – Jun 2008: Regent College | www.regentcollege.uk.com | London, UK
I was initially employed as a Network Assistant, before being promoted to Network Manager. My duties included maintaining the servers, computers and user accounts, in addition to solving day to day IT issues. I also managed the websites of Regent Group and was responsible for their design and co-ordination, in addition to advertisement designs for magazines and newspapers.

Video: Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Quantel eQ, Magic Bullet, DVD Studio Pro, Apple Compressor, Adobe Media Encoder, Red Alert, Red Rushes, Apple LiveType and iStop Motion.
