Welcome
My name is Mouthanna Al-Sayegh and I am an experienced film and television editor based in London, UK.
To date, I have worked on several short and low budget feature films as well as television programs in various genres and styles who have distinguished themselves and gone on to be screened at film festivals globally and have won awards and accolades, such as the prestigious Princess Diana Anti-Bullying Award 2009 and Audience choice best drama in Manhattan Film Festival 2010.
I first discovered and took interest in the art of film editing as a hobby at an early age, but it was not until my higher education studies that the hobby rapidly grew to become my passion and career aim. I graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London, with a Master's Degree in Filmmaking; Specializing in Editing.
The craft amazes me by its storytelling influence emotionally and intellectually to any given film, in addition to the power it has to turn the same footage to completely alternative films. It is definitely the stage where the film is reborn and assembled into a coherent whole.
I have strong sense of storytelling, visually and dramatically. The ability to create rhythm, pace and tension and ensuring that the story flows effortlessly from beginning to end. I also have a high degree of technical aptitude and wide experience of all phases of post-production
I believe and have been told by industry professionals that I have a good eye for details, the ability to be creative under pressure, imagination and an understanding of narrative.
Furthermore, I am patient, a fast learner, good at multitasking and enjoy working in a group as well as independently.
